Biografia
My art is a celebration of the human spirit—vivid, expressive, and unapologetically bold. I am drawn to the energy of movement, the subtle language of gesture, and the stories that unfold in the spaces between people. Whether capturing the camaraderie of friends, the grace of dancers, or the theatrical allure of masquerade, I use color and form to evoke emotion and spark curiosity.
Each piece is a study in contrasts: vibrant reds and cool blues, moments of introspection set against bursts of laughter, the tension between individuality and unity. I often incorporate playful elements—crossword puzzles, elaborate costumes, or symbolic objects—to invite viewers into a world where reality and imagination intertwine.
My process is rooted in observation and empathy. I strive to capture not just the likeness of my subjects, but the essence of their experience—their vulnerability, strength, and joy. Through my work, I hope to inspire others to embrace their own stories, celebrate connection, and find beauty in the dance of everyday life.
Andrejus Kovelinas (ur. 1958) to litewski malarz od lat związany z Polską. Jego twórczość skupia się na malarstwie olejnym, z głównym motywem kobiecym, przedstawianym w burleskowej i buduarowej estetyce. Artysta czerpie inspiracje z teatru, opery i baletu, co znajduje odzwierciedlenie w teatralnej ekspresji jego dzieł.
Kovelinas ma bogate doświadczenie w sztuce użytkowej, projektując nagradzane plakaty dla instytucji kulturalnych. Prowadził własną szkołę artystyczną na Litwie, a swoje życie artystyczne rozwijał również we Francji i Irlandii.
